Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy taking a moment to view nature from my perspective. The majority of these photographs take place in Minnesota, where I have lived for almost 30 years. They are shot exclusively with a macro lens which helps to provide intimate access to the depths of nature. I especially enjoy depicting Mother Nature as she presents herself, making minimal use of photo editing tools. To me, Nature is filled with beautiful imperfections and I try to capture Her in this original state of being. Keeping in grasses or trees and other things that are "in the way" helps to support the experience of being within the image. The natural eye can only see so much of an expanded view and this is why I enjoy shooting with a macro lens- to allow us that frozen moment in time to see Nature up close and intimately.  ~Deana
