I am a nature lover.
When hiking in the forest, I'm often awestruck by the awareness of being connected to something that is so much larger than me, than you, than us. Maybe it is being in the presence of life, on so many levels and all at once, that overwhelms and humbles me.
With my camera and nature as my guide, I explore the intricacies of what is taking place in the woods, inside of flowers, and the surprise structures and collages that capture my attention. To me, forests are the original sculpture gardens and nature is providing us the opportunity to experience all of the phases of life as we walk through her, season after season.
I live in Minnesota, west of the Twin Cities, with my family on a very small, small pond. Capturing nature up close and personal brings me great joy. I'm grateful for the changing seasons and the abundant parks and trails that MN has to offer, and it is here that I find endless subjects to photograph.
So much of life can be seen and experienced when walking outdoors. Nature is very healing, calming and soothing to my soul. From the forest floor to eye level gardens and up to the trees, I invite you to join me to revel in the textures and layers nature creates. Together we can look closer and deeper to witness the artistry in nature.
When I'm not photographing nature I maintain a private practice in the Healing Arts and am a self-described foodie and writer.
